Regular price £4.75
Pai Mu Tan White Tea is also known as Bai Mudan Tea, which translates as White Peony. This White Tea is sometimes preferred by white tea drinkers for its fuller flavour and greater potency than most other types.
Also known as Bai Mudan (Chinese: 白牡丹; literally: "white peony") is a type of white tea made from the picking of one leaf shoot and two immediate young leaves. Bai Mudan is sometimes preferred by white tea drinkers for its fuller flavour and greater potency than the other major type of white tea, Bai Hao Yin Zhen. The latter is made purely with leaf shoots, and so it is comparatively softer and more subtle. The typical taste of Bai Mudan is a result of both the processing and the tea plant cultivars employed in its production. It is made using two different cultivars of tea, namely Fuding Dai Bai and Zhenghe Dai Bai, and has a delightful, pale golden liquor.

The pomegranate compliments the flavour of the Pai Mu Tan beautifully, and gives a beautiful, pinky-purple liquor and a transporting, fruity aroma. A lovely treat.
